Come visit Idaho Botanical Garden. Our tranquil grounds display native and non-native plants in inspirational ways. The Garden is wonderful to see on your own or with a group.
Idaho Botanical Garden is a wonderful place to visit year-round as the seasons change and new displays are installed. When you pay admission, you will receive a map of the grounds to help you navigate. While strolling at a relaxed pace, it takes a person approximately 60-90 minutes to see all the features.
Self-Guided Audio Tour
Take a self-guided tour of the Garden’s features and sculptures using your smartphone. Access it at idgarden.oncell.com. If you turn on your phone’s location feature, you can tell which stop you are by while looking at the interactive map. When you tap a number on the map, the page for that location opens. You can still see the map without your location mark if you did not enable that feature. Look for plant markers with tour stop numbers on them.
Folks without smartphones can hear the stop descriptions by calling (208) 274-9990 and entering a stop number. Look for plant markers with tour stop numbers on them.
Areas highlighted include: Outlaw Field and Features of the Old Idaho Penitentiary, English Garden, Lewis and Clark Native Plant Garden, Maximilian Kaslo sculpture collection.
Story Tote Tour & Family Backpacks
If you bring young children with you, ask to borrow a family backpack full of items to help you share the Garden with young ones. Story Totes are themed bags containing picture books and activities to entertain and educate our youngest garden visitors. Current Story Tote themes are:

Big Ol’ Bug Bag
Garden in a Bag
Story Totes are available when the garden is open. An adult may check one out with the exchange of a driver’s license for a tote.
