It’s Just Ducky at Great Garden Escape

By: Idaho Botanical Garden | 10/07/2018

Idaho Botanical Garden partners with Duck Club Presents

Boise, Idaho, July 10, 2018–The Idaho Botanical Garden is a fun, vibrant, place with 13 acres of cultivated grounds, art sculptures, education classes, and a unique, hip music series called Great Garden Escape music fans can enjoy most Thursday evenings, June through September. The concert series features upbeat dancing, music, and friends. This year’s partnership with Duck Club Presents (the promoters of Treefort) injects fresh energy into the performance line-up.

“Duck Club is excited for the opportunity to help augment the Great Garden Escape series with a variety of emerging touring artists and some new locals. The setting in the embrace of the diverse plant life in the botanical garden is a unique experience for music lovers (and the bands, too!), not to mention a rare shady stage to enjoy music outdoors in the heat of the Boise summer.” Megan Stoll, Duck Club Presents, Marketing Director

The concerts series continues to delighting music fans, now entering 22nd summer at the Garden. Collaborating with Duck Club Presents this season brings new artists Trout Steak Revival out of Denver; Americana band Old Salt Union with progressive string music and folk musician Ryley Walker, both from the Midwest; and American indie rock and folk musician Karl Blau from neighboring Washington State. Local favorites Frim Fram 4, Hillfolk Noir, and many more will be sure to get you moving and grooving.

“Our Thursday night Great Garden Escape series has a new vibe with bonus Duck Club concerts and we will still host the entertaining local favorites you expect to see.” Erin Anderson, Executive Director

Pack in your own low back chairs or blanket and picnic basket. Guest are also welcome to purchase selections from the on-site food and beverage vendors. Tickets to the series can be purchased day of at the gate or in advance at our website, idahobotanicalgarden.org. The next show is this Thursday, July 12th. Gates open at 5:30 pm at the Garden.

The Mission of the Idaho Botanical Garden is to provide a full garden experience for all ages that enhances community quality of life through plant collections, our education programs, and our entertainment, cultural and community events.

The Duck Club is a group of like-minded individuals based in Boise, Idaho working to build the local music and art scene through concert promotion and community building.
