Idaho Botanical Garden to Host Annual Bug Day on September 21st

Garden Celebrates the Fascinating World of Insects with Fun Activities and Educational Exhibits

Boise, ID – September 3, 2024 – The Idaho Botanical Garden is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated Bug Day, scheduled for September 21st, 2024. This family-friendly event promises a day full of exploration and excitement as visitors delve into the incredible world of insects.

Our 23rd annual Bug Day will take place from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM (last entry 3pm) and will feature a variety of engaging activities designed to captivate the imaginations of attendees of all ages. Highlights include:

1. Insect Exhibits: Explore a range of live insect displays and learn about the diverse roles arthropods play in our ecosystem. From bugs of the world to beetles, experience the beauty and importance of these fascinating creatures.
2. Educational Stations: Participate in interactive stations led by educators, entomologists, and naturalists. Topics will include insect identification, the life cycle of bugs, and the critical role insects play in pollination and environmental health.
3. Bug-Themed Creations: Enjoy hands-on activity stations and challenges where children and adults alike can create their own bug-themed projects. These activities are designed to spark creativity and deepen understanding of the insect world.
4. Food Trucks: Spend the day at IBG as a variety of food trucks will be onsite.
