Garden-made: Lavender Wands
Sunday, July 05th 2020 • 10:00am - 12:00pm
D.I.Y. Workshops like you’ve never experienced! Surround yourself in the beauty of the Garden and be inspired. Classes are limited to 10.
These fragrant wands look beautiful, smell wonderful, and make the perfect gift!
Lavender is a natural moth repellent , so lavender-wands are traditionally placed in closets or drawers, where they keep clothes moth-free and fresh-smelling. Lavender is also used in aromatherapy for its relaxing qualities.
During this workshop you will create a lavender wand with colorful ribbons. The ribbons encase the flower heads in stems that are folded over the blossoms and woven with the ribbon. Squeezing the wand emits a wonderful fragrance for many months.
Each Garden-made Workshop will be held in the Idaho Botanical Garden surrounded by natural beauty and thoughtfully curated decor. Workshops will include wine and a selection of individually packaged snacks. Classes are limited to 10 to allow for social distancing.
