Beekeeping 103: How to Catch Swarms, Control Mites & Split Hives

Do you have hives that made it through winter? Great! In this session we will discuss how to control bees natural swarming behavior by splitting hives. Are you just starting out and still need bees? We will also discuss how to capture bees that have swarmed, and how to give them a nice new home! Finally we will discuss in detail how to control that pesky varroa mite. Hear about what works, what doesn’t, and how to survive this pesky parasite!
