It all starts with a seed. Every vegetable comes from a seeds, and there are some that you can eat too. Seeds come in in all shapes and sizes, and each seed contains everything that a plant needs to grow. Learn the basic parts of seeds and what how they grow into a plant, and produce food for us to eat. NOTE: Held at BUGS, 4821 W. Franklin, Boise, behind the Wright Congregational Church.

Catch and examine tadpoles and search for salamanders. This camp explores the unique features that allow frogs, toads and salamanders to survive as they change from tiny water creatures to land-living adults. Held at IBG.

Learn about the fascinating lives of ants, wasps, hornets and bees. Through games, a cool craft, and spying on them in action, you’ll learn about how they are important to plants, humans and other animals. Held at IBG.
Saturday, August 30 Come for a fun, hands-on cooking experience. Little chefs will learn to make a basic snack with fresh produce straight from the garden. Held at BUGS.
Saturday, September 27
Find out how the plants and animals prepare for winter. We’ll play a squirrels-and-acorns game, harvest food from the veggie garden, and pay special attention to the wonderful leaves that will soon be bursting into beautiful fall color! Held at IBG.
