Outlaw Field Summer Concert Series®

For a seventh year, the Garden brings another outstanding summer concert season featuring the nation’s best musical artists to the Treasure Valley. The Garden, with the sun setting behind the stage and the foothills encircling, makes an ideal location to listen to the music of your favorite performers. Picnics are allowed, but food, beer and wine are offered on site for purchase. A limited number of VIP seating can be reserved in advance, which provide shade and cocktail table service.

SHUTTLE

Due to Warm Springs Ave construction, we suggest guests use the free shuttle service from downtown Boise. Shuttles will pick up guests  at the corner of 8th and Broad St. by P.F. Chang’s China Bistro in BoDo. The shuttles will return guests starting at 9:30 p.m.

Idaho Botanical Garden Member Benefits

Learn about Garden Membership and receive a number of benefits. Members are eligible to:

  • Purchase concert tickets in advance of the general public
  • Receive a discount: tickets are $5.00 less per ticket for Garden Members than for the general public

Members purchasing tickets ONLINE will receive their discount only during pre-sales by entering the text IBG followed immediately after by a unique Member ID(found on membership card) for the promotional code. If you are a new member, you may contact the Garden directly to purchase tickets. After the pre-sale has ended, members may still purchase their discounted tickets by calling or visiting the IBG Administrative office, Monday – Friday, 9am-4pm (quantities based on membership level).

Children’s Tickets:

Children 2 years old and younger do not need tickets.


Ticket Pick-up and Will Call:

Tickets purchased directly through the Garden will not be mailed but will be held at the Garden Administrative Office available for pick up during office hours on weekdays or during Garden hours, 9am – 9pm (or dusk) on weekends  in the kiosk with exception of during Garden event.


Ticket Will Call:

Garden will-call does not include tickets purchased online through ticketweb.com – tickets purchased online or purchased through the Garden but not yet picked up will be available at will call 1 hour before concert gates open at table in front of Garden office. Photo ID required of original purchaser required. 


Garden members enjoy additional special benefits at the Outlaw Field concerts. Show your Idaho Botanical Garden membership card to enjoy a members-only entrance line staffed by friendly Garden volunteers, sign up at the Garden member’s booth for special passes to other Garden events, and more.


DAY OF SHOW TICKETS

Ticket prices may increase on the day of the show. There are no Garden Member discounts on day-of-show tickets.

Concert Guidelines and Weather

Different rules apply to Outlaw Field Concerts.

WEATHER

All concerts are held rain or shine. Be prepared for extremes such as heat, wind, or rain. Dress accordingly, as the temperature may drop noticeably after sunset. No umbrellas please.


SMOKING

To protect our collections and concertgoers, the Idaho Botanical Garden is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas. Thank you for your cooperation.


PHOTOGRAPHY

Cameras with removable lens, video cameras and recording devices are prohibited. At some shows no photography will be allowed.


FOOD

Food and beverages will be available for sale. You are welcome to bring a cooler and pack your own picnic. No alcohol, knives, or glass containers may be brought inside. on-site cooking or barbecues are not allowed. Please pack out whatever you bring into the venue.


NO RE-ENTRY

Once you have entered through the gate, you may not exit and re-enter. You are welcome to bring food, blankets, low-rise chairs, etc. into the venue with you. Be prepared for weather extremes such as heat, wind, or rain. Bring a jacket, as the temperature may drop noticeably after sunset.

Members Only VIP Concert Seating

The Idaho Botanical Garden offers a limited number of reserved premium locations to enjoy the Outlaw Field Summer Concert Series. Your group will not have to worry about early arrival to secure some of the best seats in the Garden. VIP seating also offers the additional comforts of a table to eat your snacks on and beverage service comes right to your table!

VIP Canopy Seating

  • Reserved seating under 10×10 canopy
  • Side wall provides shade
  • Canopy is set close for quality stage viewing Private table beverage service (food table service not currently available)
  • Comfortable garden furniture features both tall and small chairs with tables

VIP Table

  • Reserved table seating with umbrella set on hill for stage level viewing
  • Private table beverage service (no food service currently available)

VIP spaces may not be available for all concerts. Garden Membership offers VIP Seating options, in addition to discounts on Outlaw Field Summer Concert admission tickets. VIP spaces can only be purchased through the Idaho Botanical Garden Administrative office.

Office Hours Monday – Friday 9am-4pm. Reserved tables and canopy sponsor reservations need to be made in advance and cannot be purchased day of concert or at the door. (208) 343-8649.

PARKING

Parking is free, but limited. Parking staff will direct you to available spots. We encourage you to bike, car pool, or take public transportation. A free shuttle service from downtown Boise at the Bodo area may be available.

We encourage guests to go green and ride their bikes to the event. A bike corral will be available on site and you will receive a FREE ticket to attend one of the Idaho Botanical Garden’s Thursday night Great Garden Escape Concerts.

Large Event Notification

To the neighbors and surrounding community of the Idaho Botanical Garden:
On occasion attendance at Garden events creates an a higher than normal traffic pattern. We have created an e-mail notification system to provide advance notice of possible congestion. Please sign up for the “Large Event Notification” e-mail list to be notified of upcoming events in addition to a forwarded reminder on the day of the event. We hope you can use this to minimize the inconvenience these events may cause.

Special Needs

  • Concerts are presented on a grass park like setting. All guests are either seated on the grass with blankets, or in low back chairs. A limited number of spaces are held in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. We encourage all guests with special needs to contact the Knitting Factory office at (208) 343-8883 and every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate. As accommodations are limited we can better serve those who assist us with advance coordination.  Once on site, should you require any assistance or have any questions, look for our guest service personnel in the blue shirts – they are there to help you!
  • Parking staff will direct concertgoers with mobility impairment disabilities to a closer parking area (limited availability). Please communicate your needs with parking staff.
  • After the member lines opens, concertgoers with mobility impairment disabilities and one guest may enter the gate. Please see a guest service personnel in the blue shirt for early access.
  • There will be a wheelchair accessible designated seating area on the field. If you need assistance through the grass, please stop and ask guest service staff member or Garden volunteer.
