Lasting Legacy Program
Leave a legacy to the Garden through charitable gift and estate planning.
“We need to preserve the Garden for the general benefit of Society.” A contributor to the Berry Botanic Garden, Portland, Oregon
Planned giving may be defined as a way to include charitable giving in your total estate plan. Many friends of the Garden see Planned Giving as a way to perpetuate their support beyond their lifetimes, while realizing benefits of their gift today.
It is not always prudent financial management to make contributions of cash to nonprofit organizations. It makes more sense to consider a deferred gift, or a gift of appreciated assets. Benefits include avoidance of capital gains on appreciated stock or real estate, a current charitable deduction, and fixed income payments for life.
The Idaho Botanical Garden appreciates all gifts and welcomes the opportunity to work with you and your personal advisors to determine if one or more planned giving arrangements are appropriate for you. All information is kept in the strictest of confidentiality.
