Introduction to Small Landscapes

This two-part, four-hour class will provide an introduction to the “artful hobby” of creating small landscapes, or Bonsai by many other names. Wednesday will focus on the art form and history, suitable plant material, soils, hydration, everyday and special tools, pots, wiring, and pruning. Saturday will be an adventure in pruning your own juniper, a great plant for starting out. A list of what to bring that day will be provided during Part I.

Two Parts. Part II is on 7/15 at 10 a.m.
