Become a Junior ecologist and study creatures on the ground, in the air, and in the water. Go on a nature walk, identify trees and animal tracks. Record your favorite part of each day in your camp journal.
July 20-24 Classes: Ages 5 & 6, 7-9
Imagine being able to taste with your feet, or to see things that are invisible to humans! We’ll learn about the senses, which may seem weird and wacky to us humans, that animals use for finding food and avoiding predators.
BEES, BIRDS, BUTTERFLIES, & BLOSSOMS
July 27 – 31 Classes: Ages 4, 5 & 6
Discover why bees, birds and butterflies need blossoms, why blossoms need bees, birds and butterflies, and why we need them all. Learn how these animals choose and find their favorite flowers. Go on a butterfly hunt.
August 3-7 Classes: Ages 5 & 6, 7-9
Plants make almost all other life possible. We’ll have fun creating plant crafts, and investigating how plants are used by animals and how people turn them into food, medicine, shelter, clothes, decorations, and more.
August 10-14 Classes: Ages 4, 5 & 6
Use your senses, imagination and creativity to explore gardens. Activities include blowing bubbles, hunting for roly-polies, digging in the dirt, planting seeds, singing songs, harvesting vegetables, and meeting an earthworm.
